Volleyball Recap: Lincoln Starts Season with Victory at Home

Lincoln gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Jacksonville Crimsons by a score of 2-0. The Railsplitters haven't had any issues with the Crimsons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

While Lincoln might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Jacksonville scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-18.

Lily Holmes paced Lincoln's offense, picking up 11 kills. Holmes got some help from Lauren Tedrick and her 22 assists.

Lincoln will head out to challenge Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jacksonville, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Macomb at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
