After two games on the road, Manteca is heading back home. They will take on the Granite Bay Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Two weeks ago, in a tight game that could have gone either way, Manteca made off with a 28-27 victory over Oakdale.
Bryson Davis was his usual excellent self, rushing for 256 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.5 yards per carry. Davis is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played.
Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Granite Bay walked away with it. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Rodriguez 49-12 at home. The result was nothing new for Granite Bay, who have now won five games by 21 points or more so far this season.
Isaiah Ene and Carter Jackson were among the main playmakers for Granite Bay as the former rushed for 112 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries and the latter rushed for 201 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. Jackson's longest rush was for an incredible 79 yards. Adam Shehadeh made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Manteca has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Granite Bay, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Manteca strolled past Granite Bay in their previous meeting back in August by a score of 15-0. Will Manteca repeat their success, or does Granite Bay have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
