Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Mifflinburg Wildcats, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They fell 21-14 to Warrior Run on Friday. Mifflinburg gained 116 more yards on the day, but it was Warrior Run that made the best of use of them.
Although Mifflinburg took the loss, they still got scores from Troy Dressler and Kaiden Kmett.
Among those leading the charge was Colby Lebarron, who rushed for 130 yards and a touchdown.
Warrior Run's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB eight times. It was a group effort, with three picking up two apiece.
Mifflinburg now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Warrior Run, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season.
Mifflinburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Warrior Run will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Loyalsock Township at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Loyalsock Township presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Warrior Run in Pennsylvania (Loyalsock Township is ranked 153rd, while Warrior Run is ranked 337th).
