5A Region 4 recap November 13, 2013
Pascagoula added to the longest winning streak in 5A Region 4 this week by beating Gautier, 24-7. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Panthers.
Pascagoula was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after defeating the Gators. Lewis sims' team came in at 24 in the state poll after placing at number 26 last week.
Preston Dedeaux provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Picayune topped Stone.
Jamyrian Quinn put up the best numbers through the air as Gautier lost to the Panthers. He finished with 7 completions for 172 yards and 1 touchdown. Quinn's favorite target this week was Eric Maye, who caught 2 passes for 81 yards.
Pascagoula's Andrew Dunn and Matthew Eaton led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-5 quarterback Dunn has thrown for 1,575 yards this season, while Eaton has 40 catches for 675 yards. The Maroon Tide's Dedeaux leads the league in rushing yards with 1,484.
The Panthers took down Chris peterson's team 24-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
