After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Yale, the Marine City Mariners were happy to have found some success  on Friday. They had just enough and edged Madison out  47-44. This was payback for Marine City, who suffered a  79-43  loss the last time these two teams met.
 Leading Marine City to victory were  Liam Adams and  Danny VandeVyver.  Adams  dropped  a double-double on 12 points and 13  rebounds, while  VandeVyver  scored 21 points. Adams is absolutely dominating the  rebound category: he's  posted at least eight every time he's  taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was  Jonathan Hand, who  scored six points.
 Marine City's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Madison, they  still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marine City will be home for the holidays to greet  Port Huron at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Port Huron comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Madison will be home for the holidays to greet  St. Clair at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. St. Clair and Madison are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads.
