The matchup was a 14-14 toss-up at halftime, but Central Texas Christian couldn't answer the 17 points Sacred Heart scored afterwards.
When it comes to explaining why Central Texas Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Tabor Tyson. Despite the final result, he rushed for 171 yards and a touchdown. Tyson hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for ten straight games.
Sacred Heart's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brady Haas, who rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns. Nicholas Angerstein was another key contributor, picking up 125 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Central Texas Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Sacred Heart, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Central Texas Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Bishop Gorman at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bishop Gorman is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. Sacred Heart does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
