Adding to the longest winning streak in Portage Trail - Metro this week, Norton beat Springfield 63-25. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
Caleb Wohlwend threw for 156 yards and 3 touchdowns. He went 11-20 with 1 interception.
Marcus Cadiell was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 88 yards on 21 carries as Roosevelt defeated Crestwood. Robert Moore also contributed to the rushing game with 31 yards on the ground.
Roosevelt's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Rough Riders feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Dustin Monaco has thrown for 1,180 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, while Smiley has 33 catches for 459 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Roosevelt takes on second place Norton.
Norton led Portage Trail - Metro in scoring this week by notching 63 points on the Spartans.
