Fans got a thrill when Trevor Tucker and Cody Harris connected against Winfield. The connection was good for 90 yards, the longest such play in Mountain State this season.
South Charleston was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from 10th to sixth in the league. The Black Eagles vanquished Spring Valley 45-21 earlier in the week.
Ripley's dynamic duo of Tucker and Kade Harrison proved tough for the Generals to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Tucker threw for 206 yards and 2 touchdowns and Harrison had 94 yards receiving. Harris helped Ripley's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 97 yards.
The Vikings' dynamic duo of Tucker and Harrison proved to be unstoppable against Winfield, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Harrison was the best receiver in the league this week as Ripley fell to Craig Snyder's team.
Tucker put up the best numbers through the air as David Tennant's team lost to the Generals.
He was 12-22 with 2 interceptions.
Teran Barnitz was the most successful running back in Mountain State this week. He ran for 147 yards on 20 carries as Cabell Midland lost to Winfield. Kasey Thomas also contributed to the rushing game with 127 yards on the ground.
Wilson's BRENT OSBORNE and CHASE HANCOCK have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback OSBORNE has thrown for 566 yards this season, while HANCOCK has 16 catches for 295 yards. Thomas from the Knights leads the league in rushing with 444 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Cabell Midland and Huntington. Luke Salmons' team enters the game ranked third in the state, while the Highlanders ranks fourth.
The Knights' offense has racked up 173 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while Huntington has allowed only 14 on the year.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Cabell Midland takes on Billy Seals' team. The Knights have allowed 26 points this season, while the Highlanders have given up 14. Cabell Midland allowed 7 points last week as it bested Parkersburg.
Riverside lost to Hurricane 56-9 last week, the largest margin of any game. Will Jackson ran for 93 yards in the defeat.
