Division III recap October 29, 2013
Mt. Pleasant added to the longest winning streak in Division III this week by beating East Greenwich, 46-0. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Kilties.
Lincoln and Narragansett played the closest game in the league this week, with Lincoln eventually emerging with a 29-26 victory.
Eric Cosmopulos threw for 213 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Timothy Shea was the best receiver in the league this week as Classical beat Ponaganset. Shea racked up 3 receptions for 102 yards. Amilcar Berganza helped Classical's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 49 yards.
Leading Division III in both passing and receiving yards, Moses Brown's Cosmopulos and Sebastian Ferrell have proven to be a lethal combination. Cosmopulos has thrown for 1,218 yards this season, while Ferrell has 21 catches for 392 yards. Randolph Zleh from Mt. Pleasant leads the league in rushing with 1,040 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between the Avengers and the Purples. East Greenwich enters the game ranked 23rd in the state, while Classical ranks 20th.
Paul Rao's team took down John George's team 46-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
