On Saturday, things could have been worse for Elberta, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 55-38 loss to Tate. Elberta has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Leading Tate to victory were Ja'michael Murray and Evan Bignell. Murray scored 12 points, while Bignell scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jaquan Mcdonald, who scored eight points.
Elberta has not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Tate, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elberta will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Blacksher at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th. Tate and Pace will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Pace will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 622nd, while Tate is ranked 265th).
