The Bishop Ward Cyclones were the 56-32 winner over the Rossville Bulldogs when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Bishop Ward took a 56-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rossville on Tuesday. Bishop Ward has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Mason Jones was the offensive standout of the matchup as he scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Jack Donovan, who scored 12 points.
Bishop Ward's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Rossville, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Chapman the next time they take the court. Bishop Ward will head out to face Chapman at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Rossville will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
