The Bay Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 50-31 bruising from Greene County. While losing is never fun, Bay can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 245th, while Greene County is ranked 114th).
Among those leading the charge was Tylan Blackston, who scored 23 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brycen Johnson, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Bay has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season. As for Greene County, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 13-11 record this season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Pass Christian the next time they take the court. Bay will head out to face Pass Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Greene County will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
