Warwick has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against The Governor Mifflin Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Governor Mifflin took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Warwick, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Warwick took their match at home with ease, bagging a 53-6 win over Lebanon. Given Warwick's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 182nd, while Lebanon is ranked 475th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Governor Mifflin fell victim to Manheim Central's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They had to suffer through a rough 42-0 loss at the hands of the Barons. Having soared to a lofty 45 points in the game before, Governor Mifflin couldn't push the score so high this time.
Warwick's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Governor Mifflin, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.
Warwick strolled past Governor Mifflin in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 by a score of 25-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for Warwick since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
