The Christ Prep Academy Patriots will head out to face off against the Kansas City Christian School Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Christ Prep Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
Christ Prep Academy can't be too worried about heading out to take on Kansas City Christian School: they just beat Lathrop at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Patriots' pitcher stepped up to hand the Mules an 11-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by seven runs or more this season.
Aidan Kent was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 15 over seven innings pitched. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Christ Prep Academy is 3-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 4-6 otherwise. Kent was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one RBI.

In other batting news, Will Hink and Luke Neland did most of the damage at the plate: Hink went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base, while Neland went 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those three RBI gave Hink a new career-high. Cade Elder was another key player, going 1-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Christ Prep Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .395. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Kansas City Christian School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 12-0 to Heritage Christian Academy. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Panthers have suffered against the Chargers since April 21, 2021.
Kansas City Christian School's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Christ Prep Academy, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
Christ Prep Academy took their win against Kansas City Christian School in their previous meeting back in April of 2021 by a conclusive 12-0 score. Will the Patriots repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
