Owen Klees had an outrageously good game as he threw for 276 yards and four TDs while picking up 12.5 yards per attempt. That's the most passing touchdowns he has posted since back in September of 2024. Jeremiah Washington helped Klees out on the ground, rushing for 161 yards while picking up 10.1 yards per carry.
Wakulla was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 242 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Leon only rushed for nine rushing yards.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Wakulla's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Derek Davis, Antonio Harvey, and Rayshon St. Hilaire, who each picked up one sack apiece. Another thorn in Leon's side was Davis, who picked up a sack and made eight total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Despite the loss, Leon still got an impressive performance from Markeith Buggs, who picked up 142 receiving yards.
Coming up, Wakulla will host Taylor County at 7:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for Leon, they will head out on the road to take on Bozeman at 7:00 p.m. on the 29th.
