The Eastside Lions will take on the Ridgeview Wolf Pack at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Eastside will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
Eastside barely beat Littlerock the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lions blew past the Lobos 11-4 on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won five contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Hailey Lavendier was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off 11 hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with three RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Julia Green was excellent, going 3-for-5 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Leilanie Garcia was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Eastside kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Ridgeview never let their opponents score on Thursday. Everything went their way against West as they made off with a 21-0 win. The game marked the Wolf Pack's most dominant victory of the season so far.
Like Eastside, Ridgeview also got a great game from a two-way player: Kylie Navarrete. On the mound, Navarrete tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Isabella Aguayo struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). At the plate, Navarrete went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Aguayo got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Navarrete also put up a stolen base, which was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Ridgeview got a massive performance out of Valeria Perez, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. With that strong performance, Perez is now averaging an impressive 2.2 runs per game. Jessica Lopez also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Eastside's record is now 9-0. As for Ridgeview, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Ridgeview's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Eastside has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 14.7 hits per game. It's a different story for Ridgeview, though, as they've been averaging 8.7 hits. Given Eastside's sizable advantage in that area, the Wolf Pack will need to find a way to close that gap.
Eastside got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in March of 2025 against Ridgeview by a conclusive 17-5 score. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Wolf Pack have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
