Baird has been on the road for three straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Ranger Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Baird didn't have too much trouble with Mullin on the road as they won 45-27. The win was just what Baird needed coming off of a 50-15 defeat in their prior matchup.
Ranger has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 23 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Three Way 44-8 at home. The win was familiar territory for Ranger who now have three in a row.
Brooklyn Sanchez went supernova for Ranger, almost dropping a triple-double on 26 points, 13 rebounds, and 9 steals. Sanchez has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Nayomi Haynes was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 13 rebounds.
The losses dropped Baird to 7-3 and Mullin to 2-6.
Everything came up roses for Baird against Ranger in their previous matchup back in November as the team secured a 55-28 victory. Does Baird have another victory up their sleeve, or will Ranger turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
