Malik Shegog threw three touchdowns and ran for two more as
Aliquippa (Pa.) defeated Lincoln (Ellwood City, Pa.) 54-12 on Saturday.
The Quips were up 34-6 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown in the first quarter.
Aliquippa expanded its lead to 42 points entering the fourth quarter. AHS scored three times in the third, including once on a Shegog touchdown pass to
Dravon Henry.
Shegog and
Terry Swanson ran for a bunch of touchdowns for the Wolverine.
Beau Ewing made a difference for Lincoln. The senior running back caught one touchdown. He has now scored five touchdowns on the season.
The Quips came into the game allowing 1.7 points per game. The 12 points that LHS ended with were well below its average of 22.3 coming into the game.
When the two teams played each other last season, Aliquippa came away with a 35-9 victory.
Lincoln (1-6) will play a WPIAL AA Midwestern game against Beaver next week, while Aliquippa (7-0) will take on Beaver Falls also in a WPIAL AA Midwestern game.
