Norton is 9-1 against Westwood since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Lancers will head out to challenge the Wolverines at 3:45 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
On Wednesday, Norton got the win against Norwood by a conclusive 10-3. The result was nothing new for the Lancers, who have now won seven matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Liana Danubio made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
In other batting news, Norton got a massive performance out of Avery Tinkham, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Avery Soares, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Norton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Westwood hadn't done well against Bellingham recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Wolverines walked away with a 4-0 victory over the Blackhawks.
Like Norton, Westwood also got a great game from a two-way player: Bridget Mulkeen. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 17 over seven innings pitched. Mulkeen was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, two RBI, and one double.
Mulkeen wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Brooke Benger, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.
Norton's record now sits at 10-1. As for Westwood, their record is now 6-2.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Norton has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.9 hits per game. However, it's not like Westwood struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.1 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Norton beat Westwood 3-0 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lancers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
