It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Archer City Wildcats can now relate to. They were beaten by Collinsville 62-0 on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 55 points in the game before, Archer City couldn't push the score so high this time.
Logan Jenkins was his usual excellent self, throwing for 293 yards and four touchdowns, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Jenkins has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last seven times he's played. Parker Wells and his 113 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Collinsville's win.
Archer City's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Collinsville, they have yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 10-1 record.
Archer City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Collinsville will square off against Miles at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Miles is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
