The Kimberton Waldorf Bulls's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their seventh straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 59-24 loss at the hands of Community Academy of Philadelphia. Kimberton Waldorf lost against Community Academy of Philadelphia in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 68-19 score last time.
Several Bulls players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was JoJo Da Graca, who scored five points along with five rebounds and three steals. Those five rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Jimmy Wan was another key contributor, scoring five points along with three steals.
Leading Community Academy of Philadelphia to victory were Gabriel Solis and Gabriel Gonzalez. Solis dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Gonzalez dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 assists. The game was Gonzalez's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Randy Hidalgo-Paulino, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Kimberton Waldorf's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Community Academy of Philadelphia, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kimberton Waldorf will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Delaware Valley Friends at 4:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Delaware Valley Friends has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Community Academy of Philadelphia won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Kohelet Yeshiva at 4:00 p.m. on December 14th. One thing working in Kohelet Yeshiva's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches.
