Basketball Recap: King/Drew Comes Up Short

King/Drew was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 95-57 loss at the hands of the Inglewood Sentinels. One positive for the Golden Eagles, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Jason Crowe Jr continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Inglewood, putting up 28 points along with eight assists and four steals. Crowe Jr's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cayim White, who posted 12 points and four steals.

King/Drew's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-7. As for Inglewood, their record now sits at 7-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. King/Drew will host Lynwood on Wednesday. As for Inglewood, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Chatsworth at 12:00 p.m. on December 26th. Inglewood knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Chatsworth likes a good challenge.
