The Lakewood Ranch Mustangs had to endure a nine-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Manatee by a score of 77-68 on Tuesday. Lakewood Ranch's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Lakewood Ranch's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaiah Allen, who scored 24 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Allen has scored all season. David Young was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 17 rebounds.
Lakewood Ranch's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-14. As for Manatee, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-15.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakewood Ranch won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Bruins at 7:30 p.m. on January 31st. Hopefully Bayshore focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 last Monday. As for Manatee, they will head out on the road to face off against the Ascenders on Friday.
