The Pittsfield Generals stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Pope Francis Prep 74-50. The win made it back-to-back wins for Pittsfield.
Pittsfield found their leader in underclassman Harolyn Castillo, who shot 4-for-8 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 30 points and 17 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Castillo has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dezerea Powell, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Pittsfield is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Pope Francis Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Pittsfield will head out on the road to square off against Drury at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Pittsfield is coming into the matchup with three straight wins on the road, so Drury is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum. Pope Francis Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
