For the second straight game, Quaker Valley will face off against Riverside. The Quakers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Quaker Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.9 runs per game this season.

Quaker Valley is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 11 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Riverside on Tuesday. They fell 4-1 to the Panthers. The Quakers haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

For Riverside's part, Zach Hare made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Hare has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Sean Hayes was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024.

Riverside has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Quaker Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 10-4-1.

Quaker Valley's speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's contest. The Quakers have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Riverside, though, as they've been averaging only 0.8 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Quaker Valley continue to outrun the ball?
