Basketball Recap: Adam Chaffin Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Alhambra

Browne won the last time they faced Alhambra and things went their way on Saturday too. The Browne Bruins took down the Alhambra Lions 67-51. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bruins.

Browne's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Adam Chaffin, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards. That's the most rebounds Chaffin has posted since back in January. Dee Shaw was another key player, putting up ten points along with seven assists and five boards.

Browne smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Browne's record now sits at 6-9. As for Alhambra, their loss dropped their record down to 1-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Browne will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Kofa at 7:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025. As for Alhambra, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Alhambra Lions take on the Central Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
