Despite the defeat, Galva saw an underclassman step up: JP Sloan scored 16 points along with two steals. That's the first time this season that Sloan scored 15 or more points. Blake Stahl was another key contributor, scoring six points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Annawan and bumps their season record up to 17-3. As for Galva, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.
Annawan will head out on the road to challenge Monmouth United at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Galva, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Princeville at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Princeville is coming into the match hot, having won their last 11 games.
