The biggest upset of the week belonged to Mountain View, who took down 601st ranked Clint, 21-12. Jesus Flores ran for 99 yards in the win.
The Lobos moved up to 737 from 826 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 3A Region I District 3. Mountain View climbed the ranks as a result of beating the Lions 21-12.
Clint's dynamic duo of Israel Chavez and Marco Hernandez proved tough for Gary Rundell's team to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Chavez threw for 81 yards and one touchdown and Hernandez had 81 yards receiving.
The Lobos' Armando Anchondo and Adrian Vargas have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Anchondo has thrown for 770 yards this season, while Vargas, a 5-foot-8 receiver, has 24 catches for 450 yards. Rosvel Martinez's team's Daniel Vasquez leads the league in rushing yards with 665.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Pecos takes on the Lions. At the moment, the Eagles are in third, while Clint is in second.
Fort Stockton took down Anthony 50-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
