Round Mountain secured a 40-34 W over Indian Springs on Friday. This was payback for Round Mountain, who suffered a 64-26 loss the last time these two teams met.
Round Mountain's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dylan Chavez, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Bullington, who scored 13 points along with five steals.
Round Mountain's win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2. As for Indian Springs, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Round Mountain and Tonopah will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Tonopah comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Indian Springs, they will head out on the road to face off against Laughlin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Laughlin is ranked 105th, while Indian Springs is ranked 111th).
