Basketball Recap: Southern Maryland Christian Academy's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

After a string of five wins, Southern Maryland Christian Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 63-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the McKinley Tech Trainers. The Mustangs were probably out for revenge after losing 54-46 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

When it comes to explaining why Southern Maryland Christian Academy lost, don't look at Aaron McGlone. Despite the final result, he posted 18 points and five rebounds. McGlone's morning made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ja?Zyere Thompson, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 10 points.

Southern Maryland Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for McKinley Tech, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1.

Southern Maryland Christian Academy and Salisbury Christian will round out the year against one another at at 11:45 a.m. on Thursday. Southern Maryland Christian Academy is facing Salisbury Christian at the right time seeing as Salisbury Christian is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for McKinley Tech, they will be taking part in a tournament against Digital Pioneers Academy at 5:40 p.m. on December 30th.
