Baseball Recap: Southside Christian Takes a Loss

Southside Christian lost against Bethel Christian Academy back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Southside Christian fell 6-3 to Bethel Christian Academy.

Jonah Smith made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zeke Ragan, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with three stolen bases.

Southside Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Bethel Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southside Christian will head out to square off against South Wake at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bethel Christian Academy, they will take on Scotland Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
