West Potomac got a great performance from Jackson Trumbo as he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Barrett Baker picked up the save, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (he also didn't allow any walks).
At the plate, John Colligan was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Alex Harris was another key contributor, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Stone Bridge ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They came out on top against Edison by a score of 13-9. Stone Bridge's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
West Potomac's record is now 2-5. As for Stone Bridge, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.
