Basketball Recap: Worth County Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Worth County hadn't done well against Berrien recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Worth County Rams were the clear victor by a 64-39 margin over the Berrien Rebels. That's more bragging rights for the Rams, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Worth County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Khalonee Bender, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten steals. Bender is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Amya Garmon was another key player, putting up ten points along with eight boards and four steals.

Worth County's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-7. As for Berrien, their loss was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-13.
