The Freedom Eagles can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They snuck past Potomac Senior with a 42-38 win. The win was just what Freedom needed coming off of a 68-26 loss in their prior game.
Freedom was led to victory by Keilani Johnson and Savannah Price. Johnson scored 14 points along with four steals, while Price dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Price scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Keilana Johnson, who scored three points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Freedom's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Potomac Senior, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Freedom will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Georgetown Day at 1:30 p.m. on December 16th. Georgetown Day presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Freedom in their respective states (Georgetown Day is ranked fourth in District of Columbia, while Freedom is ranked 129th in Virginia). Potomac Senior will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Central Virginia HomeSchool Athletic Association on December 28th.
