Loss or not, Terrell County got some senior leadership from Cordarius Perry and Michael Carter. Perry posted 16 points, while Carter earned ten points. Perry's evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.
Meanwhile, Early County strolled past Pelham with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 56-41. Given the Bobcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 189th, while the Hornets are ranked 383rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Early County found their leader in sophomore Ken Parham, who went 6 for 8 on his way to 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Parham has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jimmyan Jones, who put up 12 points in addition to seven rebounds and four blocks.
Early County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.1 points per game. As for Terrell County, they now have a losing record at 8-9.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Terrell County and Early County are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Terrell County hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 58.9 points per game. However, it's not like Early County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 55.1 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
