Carmi-White County took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Monday. They skirted past the Frankfort Redbirds 3-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.
Gavin Holoman made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (one). He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
In other batting news, Maxon Odaniel was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-2. Ty Hollingsworth was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.
