After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mahanoy Area, the Montoursville Warriors were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They came out on top against Southern Columbia Area by a score of 60-49. For Montoursville, this counts as revenge for the 63-62 loss Southern Columbia Area walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2018.
Montoursville was led to victory by Quinn Ranck and Bryce Eberhart. Ranck scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and three steals, while Eberhart scored 22 points. That's the first time this season that Ranck pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Chase Snyder, who scored four points along with seven rebounds.
Montoursville's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Southern Columbia Area, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Danville the next time they take the court. Southern Columbia Area will head out to face Danville at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Montoursville will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
