The Florala Wildcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They took down Leroy 81-63. The victory was nothing new for Florala as they're now sitting on three straight.
Florala's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Rayshon Coleman, who almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine rebounds. Coleman has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Greasham, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 22 rebounds.
Leroy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ray Phillips, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Phillips has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 12 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Taylor Crumedy, who scored 23 points along with two steals.
Florala pushed their record up to 21-9 with that win, which was their 12th straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points per game. As for Leroy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-11.
Florala will face off against Georgiana at TBD on Wednesday. One thing working in Georgiana's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 18 matches. Leroy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
