The Klein Cain Hurricanes posted their closest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 47-45 win over Klein Forest. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Klein Cain has scored all season.
Leading Klein Cain to victory were Koye Rondeno and John Clark. Rondeno scored 19 points along with two steals, while Clark dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds. Clark has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last ten times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Braden Fobbs, who scored four points along with three steals.
Klein Cain is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 13-11 record this season. As for Klein Forest, their loss dropped their record down to 15-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Klein Cain will square off against Klein Oak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Klein Oak and Klein Cain are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Klein Forest, they will head out on the road to challenge Klein Collins at 7:00 a.m. on Friday.
