It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Hackett Hornets can now relate to. They took a serious blow against Bismarck on Friday, falling 42-13. Hackett was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.
Hackett's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Brycen Hamilton, who gained 129 total yards and a touchdown. Hamilton really tore up the turf during one magnificent 73-yard run. Wyatt Hester was another key contributor, picking up 170 receiving yards and a touchdown.
This is the second loss in a row for Hackett and nudges their season record down to 6-5. As for Bismarck, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.
Hackett does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bismarck will face off against Charleston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Charleston is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
