Science Park is still winless after their contest against Weequahic on Monday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 58-55 heartbreaker at the hands of the Weequahic Indians. One positive for the Chargers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Riyahd McDonald was a one-man wrecking crew for Weequahic as he dropped a double-double on 19 points and 18 rebounds. Those 19 points gave McDonald a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Bart Jordan, who posted 15 points.

Science Park's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Weequahic, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Science Park will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North Star Academy at 4:15 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Weequahic, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 54-39 victory against West Side on the 27th.
