Emmetsburg extended the longest winning streak in 1A District 1 this week by beating South O'Brien, 51-0. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn led the league in scoring this week after putting up 55 points on North Union.
Okoboji's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Pioneers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jordan Hanna has thrown for 714 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Keaton Jones has 15 catches for 224 yards. Gabe Goehring leads the league in rushing with 170 yards.
A big matchup in 1A District 1 this week will be when Gehlen Catholic takes on Emmetsburg. At the moment, the Jays are in fifth, while Mike Dunlap's team is in first.
