Having just played yesterday, the Campbell County Camels will jump right back in to play the Rapid City Christian Comets at 8:00 a.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Thursday, everything came up roses for Campbell County on the road against Viborg/Hurley as the squad secured a 62-23 victory. That looming 62-23 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Campbell County yet this season.
Campbell County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lauren Kuhbacher out in front who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Kuhbacher continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Payge Riedesel was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Rapid City Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 24 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Lakota Tech two weeks ago as Rapid City Christian made off with a 49-25 win. The victory was just what Rapid City Christian needed coming off of a 63-13 loss in their prior game.
Campbell County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Rapid City Christian, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
Campbell County came up short against Rapid City Christian in their previous matchup back in January, falling 68-56. Thankfully for Campbell County, Olivia Kieffer (who scored 26 points along with six rebounds and five steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
