Chittenango is on a four-game streak of home wins, while East Syracuse-Minoa is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Chittenango Bears will take on the East Syracuse-Minoa Spartans at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Chittenango didn't have too much trouble with Homer on the road as they won 54-38. Given Chittenango's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 118th, while Homer is ranked 354th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Ryan Moesch, who scored 40 points. That makes it 15 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Chittenango's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Lamphere, who scored eight points.
East Syracuse-Minoa posted their biggest victory yet this season last Friday. They claimed a resounding 67-37 win over Central Square on the road.
Chittenango has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for East Syracuse-Minoa, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Everything went Chittenango's way against East Syracuse-Minoa in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 as Chittenango made off with a 78-57 win. Does Chittenango have another victory up their sleeve, or will East Syracuse-Minoa turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
