Horseshoe Bend is 2-8 against Garden Valley since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Horseshoe Bend Mustangs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Garden Valley Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Monday, Horseshoe Bend came up short against Council and fell 56-49. Horseshoe Bend has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Treyven Bauer, who scored eight points along with five assists and five rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaelun Jones, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Garden Valley pushed their score all the way to 59 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Cascade by a score of 61-59. It was the first time this season that Garden Valley let down their fans at home.
Horseshoe Bend has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season. As for Garden Valley, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-2.
Things could have been worse for Horseshoe Bend, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 70-53 loss to Garden Valley when the teams last played back in December of 2023.
