After two games on the road, Las Vegas is heading back home. They will take on the Coronado Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
While it was all tied up 33-33 at halftime, Las Vegas was not quite Valley's equal in the second half on Tuesday. Las Vegas was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 65-64 to Valley.
Tayshaun Jackson put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 31 points along with 3 steals. He scored a full 48.4% of Las Vegas' points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Mcgee, who scored 9 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Meanwhile, Coronado didn't have too much trouble with La Costa Canyon on the road on Saturday as they won 81-64. The win made it back-to-back wins for Coronado.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Coronado to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tee Bartlett, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Josiah Cunningham, who scored 24 points along with 6 rebounds.
Las Vegas' loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Coronado, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
