The Notre Dame Academy Irish Wolfhounds lost against the Atlanta Girls' School Hurricanes back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Notre Dame Academy ended up on the wrong side of a rough 51-29 walloping at the hands of Atlanta Girls' School. Notre Dame Academy has not had much luck with Atlanta Girls' School recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Sarah Gruber and Marta Losada certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Gruber scored 11 points, while Losada scored eight points. The game was Gruber's third in a row with at least ten points.
Notre Dame Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Atlanta Girls' School, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Notre Dame Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North Georgia HomeSchool at 6:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Atlanta Girls' School will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy at 4:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
