The Crowley Gent will head out on the road to face off against the Elton Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Monday, Crowley had to suffer through a rough 59-19 loss at the hands of Rayne. Crowley was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-10.
Alaysia Arvie put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored ten points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Elton's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Bunkie at home and fell 48-14. While losing is never fun, Elton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 250th, while Bunkie is ranked 106th).
Crowley now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Elton, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
Crowley took a serious blow against Elton in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 44-16. Can Crowley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
