Yeshiva of Virginia's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 76-34 defeat at the hands of Grove Christian School. Yeshiva of Virginia lost against Grove Christian School in their previous head to head back in November of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 78-28 score last time.
It was another big night for Owen Collawn, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 18 rebounds for Grove Christian School. Those 18 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Jacob Garrison was another key contributor, almost dropping a triple-double on 17 points, nine rebounds, and 11 assists.
Yeshiva of Virginia's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Grove Christian School, their victory ended a eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Yeshiva of Virginia will take on Farmville Homeschool at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Grove Christian School, they will be playing at home against Stuart Hall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
