Football Recap: Wednesday's Win Is Basic's Eighth in Last Ten Outings

There's no place like home for Basic, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They blew past the Cimarron-Memorial Spartans 45-20 on Wednesday. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Basic didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as ELLA VAKE, Jasmyne Johnson, and DANICA MURRAY picked up one apiece. What's more, MURRAY also racked up two total tackles, the most she's had since back in December of 2024.

Basic has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.8 points per game. As for Cimarron-Memorial, they dropped their record down to 3-8 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Basic has already played their next contest (against Las Vegas), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Cimarron-Memorial will square off against Sunrise Mountain at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Sunrise Mountain will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
